2015 - This is my first year trying out the Light-o-Rama sequencing software and controllers, and I love it. The system is easy to operate. The NELSON’S NORTHPOLE primarily consists of LED lights, with a few incandescent lights from previous years. Our display includes 64 total circuits, a 22’ tall Mega Tree with 17 circuits on the roof, 2-8 circuit chasing arches, 8-30” chasing trees. Over 50 strings of lights on the roof, a 20‘ tall candy cane pole, plus cut outs, wire frame deer and polar bear and so much more. The show is synchronized to music, it is broadcasted on 88.1FM and has amplified outdoor speakers so even people walking by can enjoy the show. There is over 10,000 lights this year and I plan on even more next year. The show operates between the hours of 5:00pm-10:00pm 7 days a weekand turn on the day after Thanksgiving, running through the 31st of Dec. Set-up begins the 1st of November, I plan on utilizing the LOR system for Halloween next year as well.
2017 - Nelson's North Pole will be altering the display this year. we are adding more lights this year which will bring are total near the tune of 40,000+ lights. More arches, starbursts, music and now 160 channels of controllability.
